I arrived in Italy after you. I was stationed In Sinop Turkey at TUSLOG Det 4 from 1964-65 and then went to Italy from May of 1965 Till April of 1966 to finish my service. I was discharged in Italy. I first went to Det b when they were still in Lecce but already living on the airbase in Brindisi. I spent the summer there and was transferred to Ravenna in the fall of 65. I recently found a roll of film and am hoping to to find more. I sent these two pix to Giddens today and I guess I should sent them to you also.

Sorry I first found John Perkins web site and originally just contacted Mike Mullich, who didn't remember me from Adam, and also contacted Bobbie Giddens who vaguely thought he might remember me. I was only in Italy for 11 months and was at both dets during that time so I didn't leave much of an impression.
I didn't know about any ASA web sites until a few weeks ago when I queried someone about a reunion for ASA guys from Turkey. He sent me to the Sinop web site which eventually led me to Perkins site. Perkins suggested the DF site which led me to the Ravenna site. The web makes for such disorganized searching. The links are so random after a while it was hard to tell where I was.
I found two more negatives on the one roll of film I have found. One is from the Pizzeria and the other is of the parking lot attendant at the hotel. I think you already have a picture of him but I'll send it along anyway. I had a whole sequence of guys drawing beer but I haven't found that roll yet. I'll let you know if I find them. I told Giddens previously that I can't make the reunion but I sure hope you guys have a great time
