It started at 3rru Sigon by airport....1964 then up to DET J on c 47,next to ARVIN camp....then we toke over their camp killed the rats built the star bunkers and became 8th RRU..R&I in Hongkong left the first month APC came to Viet Nam Aug..tks to Bennie Sutton my NCOIC 1049 to 600 ASA...life was good in 1965..remember SGT Tabuaza?

I see no comments on the 7th. Ncs was at Udorn and had a FLR 9 Antenna system O/s were Chang Mai and Ubon (I believe) Russ Beller was NCOIC of Net Control.
Udorn closed in 1976 (i think) and many of the troops were xfered to the Phillipines to work with the AF

I have seen no mention of the DF operation on Taiwan. I was never there, but there should be someone among us who was. Two of the locations were Kaohsiung and Shrilenko, not sure of spelling.
